Safer Insured ("we", "us", or "our") is a Canadian insurance agency operating at saferinsured.com. This policy applies to personal information collected through our agent recruitment portal at recruit.saferinsured.com.

When you submit an agent application, we collect:

• Full name and contact information (email, phone number)
• Province of residence
• Immigration and work authorization status in Canada
• Employment availability preference (full-time, part-time)
• Comfort with commission-based compensation
• Motivation for joining an independent agency (free text)
• Application submission timestamp and qualification outcome

If you opt in on our re-engagement list after a non-qualifying application, we also collect your email address for that purpose.

Your information is collected solely to:

• Assess your suitability as an agent candidate
• Contact you regarding your application
• Schedule a discovery call if you qualify
• Notify you of future opportunities if you opt in to our re-engagement list

We do not use your information for any other commercial purpose.

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you reside in British Columbia, Alberta, or Quebec, our handling of your personal information is also governed by that province's private-sector privacy law — respectively, the BC Personal Information Protection Act, the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act, and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) — each of which may provide rights in addition to those described in this policy.

By submitting your application, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of each category of information listed in Section 2, for the specific purposes listed in Section 3. If you later opt in to the re-engagement list, that is a separate consent for a separate purpose, and you may withdraw either consent independently.

We use the following third-party services to operate the recruitment portal:

• Airtable (Formagrid Inc., USA) — stores your application data in our recruiter dashboard
• Resend (USA) — delivers confirmation and notification emails
• Calendly (USA) — facilitates discovery call scheduling for qualifying candidates
• Vercel (USA) — hosts the recruitment portal

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

We retain application data as follows:

• Qualifying applicants (Pass/Needs Review): up to 2 years from application date
• Non-qualifying applicants (Fail): up to 1 year from application date
• Re-engagement email list: until you unsubscribe

After these periods, records are permanently deleted from all systems.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or — if you reside in British Columbia, Alberta, or Quebec — with that province's privacy regulator (respectively, the BC or Alberta Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner, or Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information)

Residents of Quebec: a French-language version of this policy and the recruitment portal is available on request to privacy@saferinsured.com pending full translation of the site.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access to applicant data, and secure third-party data processors.

Some of our service providers (Airtable, Resend, Vercel, Calendly) store data on servers located in the United States. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside Canada and subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the recruitment portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
